I have never had a Valentine.

Really.

It’s not really something I’m opposed to, it just happened that year after year I was alone on February 14th.

So I started to develop my own rituals and say of celebration. Firstly I buy myself flowers, then something sweet like cupcakes or chocolate from my favorite place, then when I’m at home I’ll have some wine, put on a facemask and retire to the boudoir with my favorite romantic comedy, Takashi Miike’s Audition.

Whats that?

You don’t think it’s very romantic? What’s more romantic that a man trying to find love and the psychologically tormented psychopath who wants to keep him in a plastic bag forever?

Anyway 2019 looks like it’s going to be more of the same pour moi, so I will be saddled up inside my home with fuzzy slippers, drinking Chablis, with my number 1 dream girl Asami. Luckily the Blu-ray will be released on February 12th, 2019.
